The Japan Prize is considered by many to be the most prestigious award that can be conferred upon an educational program. Sponsored by NHK, the national broadcast network in Japan, the Japan Prize competition is held every two years to promote the advancement of educational broadcast programming around the world as well as to foster greater cooperation among nations.
